Video Writing Assignment

The underlying belief when it comes to free speech is that opposition to expression should always be content-neutral (i.e. you cannot discriminate against a particular viewpoint, even if that viewpoint is unpopular).

For this assignment, you will view one of the following videos and then offer a response in defense of their first amendment right to freedom of expression, as well as any other first amendment protections you believe are important. (citing specific cases that you would reference and standards that you would utilize). The expectation is that you will make a concise, well-articulated argument that relies on precedent and legal rationale to make your argument.

Why should your groups freedom of expression be protected?
How would you defend your groups from accusations that they are a hate group?
What are the relevant precedents for upholding your groups right to expression?
