ASSIGNMENT

Compose either a short story (1000-2000 words) or 2 short short stories (500-1000words). that meet the proscribed minimum standards.

• Incorporate specific elements of craft general to all creative writing into your composition; be sure to work with images, attend to the voice of the piece, develop characters (at least one must be dynamic), a setting (that is more than just a backdrop), and a plot and story (with a beginning, middle, and end).
• Read peer work and assess their strengths and weaknesses through formal, written critiques that incorporate craft analysis and specific evidence to support your observations.
